- Description
- This procurement is partially funded through the Recovery Act. The Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Medical Center Minneapolis, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the upgrading of the elevators. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated with procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The Offeror shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to upgrade the Elevators and associated equipment for the existing buildings on the campus of the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota as required by the project drawings and specifications. The period of performance is 372 days for the entire project. Magnitude of Construction is between $2 million and $5 million. NAICS code is 238290 elevator, electric, installations only. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about May 18, 2009. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Only one site visit is planned. Proposals will be due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. NO bidders list is maintained. All interested vendors should register on this website. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access in FedBiz Opps. CCR and Vetbiz registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
