- Description
- This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with 4 option years for a MA-4B Bomb Ejector Rack. This acquisition is for NSN: 1095-00-874-9581, part number: 65J46343. The function of the MA-4B Bomb Ejector Rack is to carry and release weapons with a store weight of 1000 lbs. General characteristics of the item are as follows: approximate length - 17", approximate width - 1.5', approximate height - 5.125", approximate weight - 7 lbs, item material - 4130 and stainless steel. This acquisition will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. It will consist of a first article requirement. First article testing will be performed by the Government. The first article quantity of 1 EA will be in addition to the production quantity and will be expended in testing. The basic production quantity is 51 EA. The requirement also includes 4 option years each with a quantity of 1 - 40 EA. The first article unit will be shipped FOB Destination and all other assets will be shipped FOB Origin within the continental United States. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 21 May 2009. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/). The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained through a link that will be provided on the RFP posting on Federal Business Opportunities at the time the RFP is posted. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. The technical data is export controlled; therefore, only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may access the data.
