- THIS IS AN UPDATE TO A PREVIOUSLY ISSUED SYNOPSIS The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, in support of the ProgramExecutive Office, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, andIntelligence (PEO C4I), Submarine Integration Office (PMW 770) intends toissue a solicitation for the competitive procurement of redesigned AN/BRR-6/6BTow Cable Assemblies to support the Ship, Submersible, Ballistic, Nuclear(SSBN) class submarine Fleet in achieving its mission. The primary function ofthe AN/BRR-6/6B system is communications reception for the strategicdeterrent mission. SPAWAR intends to procure a firm quantity of 28 AN/BRR-6/6B Tow CableAssemblies with 28 shipping crates on a firm fixed price basis under thisproposed contract action. A Request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated to beissued in June 2009, with an anticipated award in September 2009. The Government requires delivery of an initial quantity of 10 redesignedAN/BRR-6/6B Tow Cable Assemblies with shipping crates no later than 6months after contract award and all AN/BRR-6/6B Tow Cable Assembliesdelivered no later than 9 months after contract award. A draft Technical Requirements Document and other draft solicitationdocuments will be provided for industry review on a separate secured sitelimited to US Department of Defense (DoD) contactors. Interested parties arerequested to review and provide comments to the Government on the draftsolicitation documents not later than May 18, 2009. To request access to the secured website, each company must sign and returnthe Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) posted on the SPAWAR e-commerce siteentitled, "Bidder's Repository NDA" and provide the e-mail address and phonenumber for up to two users to Larry Fabin at larry.fabin@navy.mil. Each userisrequired to be a U.S. DoD contractor and have a valid DoD Common AccessCard (CAC) or ECA issued PKI certificate to gain access to the website. If aninterested company is a U.S. DoD contractor and does not have a valid DoD orECA-issued PKI certificate, contact Ellen Barletto atellen.barletto.ctr@navy.milfor further instruction. Once status as a US DoD contractor has beenconfirmed,the Government will provide instructions on how to access the secured site. The NAICS code for this procurement is 332999.
