Description
The VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHCS) located in Denver, CO intends to negotiate sole source with GE Healthcare to provide a GE Cardiolab Electrophysiology Monitoring/Recording System. A computerized electrophysiology monitoring system for the recording, processing, and review of intracardiac electrograms is of critical importance for performing electrophysiology studies and arrhythmia ablation. ECHCS is in the process of establishing a new Cardiac Electrophysiology Program and as such will be employing a new Medical Doctor whom has significant familiarity with the GE Cardiolab Electrophysiology Monitoring/Recording System. The GE Cardiolab is a well-established system that is intuitive, user-friendly, powerful, and has a very clean electrogram signal display. The GE Cardiolab system has demonstrated stability/reliability, functionality, and the electrogram filtering and display quality are peerless. Due to the specialized nature of electrophysiology studies and arrhythmia ablation the familiarity of this technology is of paramount importance and it is our intent to minimize the potential of technical problems ultimately keeping our patients health and well being a top priority.
