Description
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), has a requirement for Repair and Alterations Services for the Ariel Rios Building, EPA East and West, the Mellon Auditorium, and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, DC. GSA anticipates award of at least two but not more than four Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity multiple award term contracts. Each contract will be awarded for a period of one (1) year with four (4) subsequent one-year options. The potential aggregate contract total over the term of each contract (base year and four potential option years) is $17,500,000.00 per contract. The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. This procurement is being solicited as a competitive 8(a) procurement. Services will include, but not limited to: renovations, preparation of contract documents sealed by registered professionals for design-build purposes within their areas of expertise and the construction thereof; general construction services including wall partition construction, modification and alteration of floor and wall mounted telephones, signal, and power outlets to be included in the modification of associated conduit, surface mounted raceway, and various under floor duct systems; installation of new and the alteration of existing power panels; carpet and carpet tile installation; painting; HVAC duct work modification and repair; door, door frame, and door set hardware installation; furnishing and installation of various wall coverings and draperies; communications cabling; grid ceiling and lighting installation and modification; modification of existing building fire sprinkler systems; and other such related work which would be outlined in delivery order and job drawings. Provide design and/or construction related to architectural; structural, civil geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical engineering; hazardous material identification, abatement and monitoring; landscape architecture; elevator, and security planning/design; interior design; life safety/fire-protection; historic preservation requirements; and the checking of shop drawings/materials. The services required for design (in whole or part) are for renovation/alteration projects with design-build requirements. Award will be made to the firms (at least two but not more than four) submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable proposals. Evaluation factors for award are: 1. Experience, and 2. Past Performance. The RFP will only be available electronically. It will be available on or about May 22, 2009. The solicitation can only be obtained by accessing FedBizOpps.
