Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester Pt., VA for an existing estuarine model run for the York River estuary to be delivered to USGS, 1730 East Parham Road, Richmond, VA by 06/30/2009. This requirement has no option periods. Virginia Institute of Marine Science is the only known source for this requirement because they are the only vendor in the area that has an existing model that can be modified to include the areas that are needed to run the estuarine model to investigate change in salinity in response to three sea-level rise scenarios that have been designated by USGS. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
