Description: Recovery - This proposed procurement is unrestricted. Date of issue for the solicitation and specifications will be on or about May 21, 2009, on www.fbo.gov. Request for Proposals will be due on or about June 23, 2009. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000, 000 and $5,000,000. The work include rehabilitation and painting of all fourteen tainter gates and incidental related work. The bid includes rehab and paint of all fourteen tainter gates.Includes select deteriorated welded connection, select stiffener plate replacements, skin plate repairs, miscellaneous welding repairs, side seal assembly replacements, and anode replacements. Disassembly and reassembly of tainter gate hoisting cable hitch block pins, inspection and cleaning of all components, coals tar painting, greasing, and replacement of o-ring seals. Blast and paint walkway bridge support steel, and repair base plate grount.
