- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for one (1) each two axis rate table for the OrionAbort Flight Test Pad Abort 1 project.The specifications are:Two Axis Rate TableRange of Motion: Unlimited rotation for inner axis; +/- 370 deg for outer axisTabletop sizeMounting plate >=14 DiaLoad Capacity <=50 lbsTest Load height: at least 8 inElectrical connection: MS style connectorPosition Accuracy: +/- 30 arcsec or betterPosition Repeatability: +/- 10 arcsec or betterRate Accuracy 0.01% or betterRate Range: 0.001 to 1000 deg/secSinusoidal MotionController interfacePC control capability/serial interfaceAnalog input/output capabilityProgrammable profilesNo environmental/vacuum chamber requirementsDesired Delivery by 8/3/2009 to White Sands Missile Range, NMNASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from Ideal Aerosmith, Inc. This vendor is theonly vendor that manufactures the 2012 rate table in the same configuration that thefirst sets of tests utilized. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon mAY 19, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
