Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the detail design and construction of Fisheries Survey Vessel (FSV) 6, a 40 Day Endurance NOAA Fisheries Survey Vessel (FSV 40 Class) with regional-specific equipment additions and mission space arrangement preferences. NOAA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for performing the detail design and construction of the FSV 6 on or about May 26, 2009. A detailed Statement of Requirements (SOR) will be supplied to competing shipbuilders along with Project Peculiar Documents (i.e., hull lines and offsets and propeller design) and Guidance Documents (i.e., arrangements drawings and electrical one-line). This procurement and resulting contract are being funded by, and shall be performed under the authority of, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and all ARRA specific requirements shall apply.
