Description
Amendment 001: A001: Questions: 1. In section 1, article 1.3 the RFP states that the consultant will develop TOR's and budgets for at least 4 studies for TDA consideration. It is unclear to me when I review that section if it means: (a) we prepare TOR's and budgets for four studies in each of the three countries, or (b) TOR's and budgets for a total of four studies among the three countries. Can you please confirm what the intention is? Answer: (b) – the Scope of Work requires the Contractor to develop at least four TORs and budgets total. Questiion: 2. Also, if the projects are to be submitted by the host government in each country, is it intended that the visits will be largely to interview individuals nominated by the government to gain a greater understanding of their objectives, or will the consultant be expected to identify and schedule meetings with individuals/companies that could provide the required goods and services (i.e., will we be expected to develop a contact list in addition to whatever is provided by the host government)? Answer: The Contractor shall meet with host country project sponsors to understand their objectives AND identify, schedule, and meet with individuals/companies that could provide the required goods and services. Question: 3. Re, section 2.3 and the Commercial Section of the Embassy, does the Commercial Section only work with the consultants after they arrive in-country, or before their arrival to refine the contact / interview list? Answer: The Contractor shall keep USTDA and the Embassy apprised of its meeting schedule prior to departure, as well as meet with Embassy officials upon arrival and prior to departure back to the United States. Embassy personnel may attend meetings with the Contractor. In addition, the Embassy MAY be in a position to assist with meetings, but ultimately the Contractor shall be responsible for arranging all meetings. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-MAY-2009); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
