- This will be an UNRESTRICTED procurement. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR 19.7 and FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers FY 09 subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 70.0%; Small Disadvantaged Business 6.2%; Woman Owned Small Business 7.0%; HUBZONE Small Business 9.8%; Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%; and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business 0.9%. The work consists of maintenance dredging of Barataria Bay Waterway Bar Channel. Material dredged shall be pumped to an unconfined site along the Gulf side Beach of Grande Terre Island. Marsh type equipment will be used to handle pipeline in the shallow water. NAICS: 237990. Work is estimated to cost between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. IFB will be issued on or about May 26, 2009, with bid opening date on or about June 25, 2009. Actual issue date will be shown when the solicitation is issued.
