Description
ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a requirement to repair building 2025 on Fort Lewis, WA. Project consists of the repair of a historic building on Fort Lewis. Demolition will include abatement of hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead paint. Project will include replacing main power to building and upgrades to all building systems to include: electrical, mechanical, communications, data, and architectural. Specific work will include rough and finish carpentry, gypsum wallboard, interior painting, steel siding, vinyl flooring, carpet, plumbing fixtures, data and communications, hydronic heating, elevator installation and ADA compatibility, exterior historic window repair, and electrical wiring and lighting fixtures. Magnitude of construction for this project is in the range of $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation will be unrestricted as to business size. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal using the Best Value source selection process as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 with price and non-price factors evaluated. A firm-fixed price contract will be negotiated as a result of the solicitation. As previously stated, this project is open to all responsible concerns, large or small. Large businesses will be required to submit a small business subcontracting plan.
