Description

The reference number is N65538-09-Q-0028 and is issued as a Request for Information (RFI). This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The RFI will be used for the purpose of exchanging information to improve the understanding of Government requirements and industry capabilities, thereby allowing potential offerors to judge whether or how they can satisfy the Government's requirements, and enhancing the Government's ability to obtain quality supplies and services at reasonable prices. The Government believes industry feedback is important and is receptive to any and all ideas which would result in increased competition, realizing cost savings, or highlighting potential contractual problem areas associated with the draft requirement. Please see the attached demonstration outline. The Navy is seeking support of the NAVSEA Central Design Agent Project Management Office in Mechanicsburg, PA for a Commer! cial of the Shelf (COTS) software product for use within the Ship Maintenance and Logistics Information System (SMLIS). All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Questions concerning this RFI shall be submitted to john.wert@navy.mil, with the reference number mentioned in the subject line not later than 1:00 pm EST on 14 May 2009. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a written description of software by 1:00 pm EST on 22 May 2009. See attachments for submission requirements. "No telephonic responses will be accepted".
