Description

Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition and Procurement Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 USC 2304 (c), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Nasatka Barrier, Incorporated, 7702 Old Alexandria Ferry, Clinton, MD 20735-1866 for Nasatka Barrier Maintenance on 1 Nasatka Model NMSB-XV (Manual) and 7 Nasatka Model NMSB-XV (Hydraulic)barrier at the Raven Rock Mountain Complex. This will be a 5 year contract with 1 base year and 4 option years. These barriers are manufactured by Nasatka and they are the only vendor authorized to perform maintenance on the equipment. The risk of having another vendor perform the repairs would risk the chance that the equipment will not operate as the manufacturer intended and cost the government additional funds. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
