Description
Western Area Power Administration, Upper Great Plains Region, has arequirementfor a contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment,tools, transportation, and any other resources necessary to complete thisproject. The principal components of the work involve providing newpre-assembled, non-combustible, metal framed communications buildingscompletewith all required site improvements and all architectural, mechanical andelectrical items. Site improvements include: removal of the existingcommunication buildings, entry platform, and foundations; removal ofexistingchain link fencing; removal of existing propane gas tank (tank to be reusedandrelocated), propane tank foundations, and propane gas line; construction ofnewreinforced concrete foundations; providing new building grounding system;providing new chain link fencing; trenching and grading; and othermiscellaneous items as described in the specifications and drawings. The work is at 3 separate microwave sites located in Stark, Morton, andOliverCounties in North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside forService-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business companies. The estimatedconstruction magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.Allwork is to be completed within 365 calendar days from issuance of theNotice toProceed. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at anyWesternArea Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval fromtheappropriate Western Security Manager. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall beconsidered bythis Agency. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and anysubsequentamendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable fromtheinternet. No CD-ROMs, hardcopy documents, or plan holders lists will bedistributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation athttp://e-center.doe.gov/ or http://www.fbo.gov on or about June 5, 2009 andtheprojected bid opening date is July 14, 2009. It is the responsibility ofthebidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments.
