- HSCG87-09-Q-6ZV037 – As-Needed Exterior Painting of USCG Housing Units at Air Station Sitka, Alaska. The work includes preparation and painting of an estimated three housing units per year for a base year and one option year. The solicitation will also include an option for painting of up to two additional units per year. Due to the as-needed nature of the work and remoteness of Sitka (Sitka is located on an island and is only accessible by air or sea) it is anticipated that a local contractor will be required. The painting season is approximately May 1st through September 30th. During that period, as a unit(s) becomes available, the contractor will be notified to commence work. The contractor will be required to commence work within five working days after notification and complete the unit within fourteen working days after start of work. Painting will be conducted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The estimated price range for the base year is between $25,000 and $100,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238320 and the applicable size standard is $14.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Solicitation documents may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about 27 May 2009) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective quoters are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time quotes are due. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for award of a contract. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau.
