- The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for Engineering, Technical, and Manufacturing Consultation in Support of Munitions Systems & Technology Directorate. All interested firms shall submit their technical capabilities (1-10 pages) for the above to include the following at no cost to the Government. The contractor shall provide a wide variety of engineering and fabrication services, technical services, and materials in order to increase design performance capabilities of the following, but not limited to, munitions systems and their associated components: precision mortar munitions, electromagnetic (EM) guns, high power microwave (HPM), reactive material (RM), 60mm mortar systems, 81mm mortar systems, 120mm mortar systems, extended range artillery (ERA), 105mm artillery systems, 155mm artillery systems and grenade systems. This service includes all aspects of munitions systems including: ? Engineering/Fabrication/Technical services o Independent design o Reliability o Production, producibility, and manufacturing o Value engineering change proposals (VECP) and engineering change proposals (ECP?s) o Operational o Program Plans o Aeroballistics o Design, build, and test hardware (Pro-E and modeling) o Structural o Propulsion and propellant o Mechanical and electrical o Producibility and R&D manufacturing o Fusing o Setting modes o Survivability o Interior ballistics o Packaging?including radio frequency identification (RFID) o Advance composites o Engineering drawings o On-site consultation o Abscurance ? Warhead engineering o Insensitive munitions o Lethality o Melt pour o Press load o Inspection o Material compatibility o Life cycle cost o Production equipment and test equipment o Producibility ? Producibility ? Risk ? Testing ? Inspection ? Multi-media ? Physical security (including anti-tamper techniques) ? Radio frequency identification (RFID) ? Information security/Assurance ? Quality system ? Travel ? Reporting ? Manuals, Reports & Specifications Interested firms, who feel they are capable, are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Army a brief summary of their company?s capabilities including a brief description of training units and verification of existing prototype/commercially available units. These technical capabilities shall be submitted ELECTRONICALLY ONLY, and within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice to Ms. Stacy Kettler (email address: stacy.kettler@us.army.mil).
