Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for services under the authority of FAR 6.302 (a)(2) to Microsoft Corporation at 8050 Microsoft Way, Charlotte, NC. The sole source requirement is for Microsoft Premier Support for the Enterprise. The SEC requirements that support a sole source are the need for technical support, service packs, software utilities, technical solutions to the problems, design and validation of the the network design, and updates to knowledge for new technology. SEC technical personnel need access to the Microsoft Premier Support for the Enterprise web site for advanced technical consultation and information. SEC technical personnel need direct access to the Microsoft Product development team who has in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products to resolve advance technical issues and alert the SEC of problems and upcoming security patches prior to public release. The SEC needs to be able to request onsite support to resolve a critical situation as soon as possible, and if necessary, provide risk assessment of the environment. The SEC intends to meet its needs by exercising Option Year 3 of the referenced contract SECHQ1-06-P-0176. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested contractors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by email to the primary POC at the time and date provided. Capabilities / qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
