Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to identify companies capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required for testing samples, and to perform requested analyses on submitted samples by the requested turn-around time as listed below, for The Maryland Industrial Hygiene Office. SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT is issued for informational and planning purposes only. It is not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as quotes, nor will any award be made as a result of this notice. This SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT is seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the services as described herein. The Maryland Army National Guard Contracting Office is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources capable of providing lab analysis on specimen retrieved from Army National Guard (ARNG) facilities, i.e., Readiness Centers, MATES, FMS, etc. The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel and materials required to analyze air and wipe samples as well as paint chip samples. Lab analysis is done on an as needed basis covering 15 states throughout the North East region. Should a future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated that a Blanket Purchase Agreement will be initiated. The period of performance will be a base year plus four additional 12 month option periods. For purposes of this SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541380: Testing Laboratories and the small business size standard is $12.0 million If your company has an interest in the requirement described above, please provide a detailed Capability Statement. The capability Statement shall include general information about your company, technical information and technical background describing your companies experience in contracts requiring similar efforts. Interested parties shall not submit more than 10 double sided, type written pages using 12 point font. Capability Statement SHALL INCLUDE the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, fax number, email address, NAICS code, any GSA Schedules held, company size (small, large business), any Business Type, i.e., 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZONE, Women Owned, Veteran, Service Disabled Veteran, etc. 2. Demonstrate ability to perform services identified in this announcement. Substitutions to methodologies are not allowed. 3. Confirm that you company employees individuals with a minimum of two year experience as an industrial hygienist technician. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this announcement. However, USPFO-MD will utilize the information for acquisition planning. All proprietary information not to be disseminated in Government documents must be clearly identified. Since this is SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, no evaluation letters/results will be issued to the participants. Your responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT must be received by 1:00 pm 1 June 09.
