Description
The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the design, labor, equipment, and materials to construct the Field Sensor Test Operations and Control Facility. This building shall be minimum 1800 SF per floor (40X45). The building shall have three (3) floors with a viewing/testing platform on top of the roof. The first and the third floor shall be vinyl or epoxy flooring with some type of aggregate. Floor elevation of second floor shall be the same as the top grade of the existing Zero Mound. Existing Zero Mound is approximately 13 FT above normal grade. The ground floor shall contain a break room, two rest rooms, a test preparation planning and test viewing room, an equipment room, a communication room and an electrical room. The second floor shall contain the instrumentation support area and an electronics laboratory. The second floor shall be raised and shall support a 1000 lb safe. Raised flooring shall provide minimum 1-ft of clear space below the flooring. The third floor will consist of a Test Operations and Safety Control Center and a Sensor Test room with a movable 2000 lb 6 x 3 stabilized optical bench. The viewing platform (roof) shall have rails on all sides with removable rails on the north side. The viewing/testing platform shall support one (1) movable 2000 lb 6 x 3 stabilized optical bench. The HVAC system shall provide comfort cooling on all three floors. The facility shall be equipped with an Intrusion Detection System (IDS). A 3,000 lb capacity service elevator shall be provided and erected on east side of building, must be capable of stopping at each floor, and shall extend to the viewing/testing platform. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. This Solicitation will be available for download on 29 May 2009.
