Linda Willis Contracting Officer DESCRIPTION The NLRB will provide technical direction to the clerical assistants and a monthly report of performance. Direct supervision will be handled by the service provider’s point of contact (PoC). Since the required services are ongoing, clerical assistants will contact the PoC for unscheduled time off so that the service provider can immediately assign a substitute and notify the NLRB. Work under this contract will be performed primarily at the NLRB’s headquarters building located at 1099 14th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The clerical assistants, preferably high school students, will spend a significant amount of time scanning documents which will require extended periods of standing (as much as 90% of the time). In addition, the clerical assistants may also be responsible for filing documents, operating a duplicating machine, answering telephones, opening mail and drafting letters using Microsoft Word. Additionally, the clerical assistants will be required to lift boxes weighing 10-20 pounds. Due to the repetitive nature of the work, it is recommended, but not required, that one full-time position or (FTE) equivalent be shared among 3-5 school students to total a 40 hour work week for the period specified. The service provider must have a team member available to perform the tasks between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except where there is a Federal holiday or Federal excused time off. TYPE OF CONTRACT It is anticipated that this will be a fixed price contract where the payments will be made on a monthly basis. More than one award may be made from this solicitation.
