- THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The VISN 19 Rocky Mountain Network Contracting Center, 4100 E. Mississippi Ave, Glendale CO is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; (2) Veteran Owned Small Business; or (3) Small or emerging small business firms to set aside a multiple award indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Government will use responses to this notice to make to appropriate acquisition decision. The proposed solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 15. The selected firm shall provide for the management and provision of Durable Medical Equipment (DME). This solicitation will cover the regional areas of responsibility for the following facilities: Grand Junction CO (to include Western Colorado), Salt Lake City UT (to include Utah and parts of northeast Nevada), Cheyenne WY (to include southeastern Wyoming and parts of southwest Nebraska) and Sheridan WY (to include northern and southwest Wyoming). Please note that the coverage areas previously stated are for general planning purpose and may not be all inclusive in the area of coverage for any specific facility. As a result of the geographic size of this requirement, there is a possibility that this solicitation could result in multiple awards. Under this contract, the contractor shall provide all labor, parts, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide delivery, set-up, in-house instruction, repair, and/or pickup of DME equipment for beneficiaries as designated by each one of the medical facilities. The contractor shall also provide a facility to clean/sanitize all equipment. DME includes but is not limited to the following: hospital beds, patient lifts, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, exterior lifts, mattresses, over bed tables, sling lifts, bed trapeze, wheel chairs and power scooters. Each facility previously mentioned will customize its DME inventory requirement. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify to the Contract Specialist Matt Ake no later than 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), Friday May 22 2009. Solicitation VA-259-09-RP-0269 has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NAICS Code 423450 is applicable to this acquisition, the size standard for a firm to be considered has an Emerging Small Business is no greater than 50 percent of NAICS Code with a Business Size Standard of 100 employees. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
