Description
This announcement is for the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration 2010 (CWID 2010) scheduled for execution 1 - 25 June 2010. CWID is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's (CJCS) annual event enabling the Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Services and Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies (C/S/As), and the multinational community to identify, investigate, and assess command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions which fulfill relevant and timely objectives for enhancing Coalition, COCOM, Service, and/or Agency (C/C/S/A) interoperability and information sharing while exploring new partnerships. U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM), on behalf of the CJCS, is responsible for the CWID program oversight. While devoted to C4ISR solutions, CWID focuses on command & control and leader-centric/net-enabled, Command and Control (C2) solutions to current capability gaps that the traditional DoD acquisition process is not adequately addressing. Each proposed technology demonstration is called an "interoperability trial" or "IT." C/C/S/A representatives are highly encouraged to explore solutions for interoperability challenges between participating services, agencies and international participants during the CWID 2010 event. CWID is also an appropriate venue for spiral development, risk reduction, and/or validation of fielded/near-fielded commercial and/or DoD systems when appropriate to reduce development/demonstration costs or production timelines. Please see the attached document for more details. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-MAY-2009); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
