Description
This notice is issued to obtain interested parties qualified and interested in providing technical support in transitioning Arlington National Cemetery from their current Internment Scheduling System (ISS) to a new Internment Management System (IMS) IMS is a mission critical application responsible for a significant amount of ANCs functionality and day-to-day operations. Respondents must demonstrate experience in operating and technically managing IMS software or a similar program which handles the scheduling of funerals, ceremonies, honor guard ceremonial units and gravestone ordering are required. The North American Industry Code is 541519 and is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses only. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), online at https://www.ccr.gov and must also register at the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website https://orca.bpn.gov/. Requirement: The work includes providing support for the application, server and network compliance, configuration and continuity. The contractor will be required to set up, manage and configure the IMS servers, which are used to schedule funeral, allocated resources and store essential data to carryout daily funerals operations, including the installation and configuration of the production version of Visual Studio 2005, update and deploy the production version of IMS and ensure all of the proper services and components are enabled and properly configured in the Internet Information Services server. The work also consist of creating an application update that is due to a service patch or periodic release of any of the supporting Commercial Off the Shelf products (i.e. MSSQL, Visual Studio and/or Microsoft products) needed by the application to properly function. Additional effort is to provide preventive maintenance on the system, which will consist of a series of activities planned beforehand on the IMS components. These activities include but are not limited to: regular inspections of the IMS components, identification of potential issues, backing up the application and databases, optimizing the applications and database and perform minor application fixes.
