Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources and information for fabrication capability of man-portable, renewable energy systems. Of specific interest is to use a single entity with capability to acquire commercial components, fabricate storage/transportation cases, fabricate full-up systems, provide test support of systems, and handle shipment of systems. A Government Performance Specification will be available at a future date. The renewable power generation capability is in the range of 300-500 watt continuous electrical output, and is envisioned to include solar photovoltaic collectors, windmills, battery storage, and electronic controls. All modules must be man-portable (less than 88 pounds). This sources-sought / Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government seeks to understand the ability to meet this requirement from firms in the Small Business domain, or on existing Federal Supply Schedule; if so, please identify yourself as such. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data.
