- U.S. Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office FAR EAST, Camp S.D.Butler, Okinawa, Japan hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to AMCOM Software, Inc. under authority of FAR 6.302-1,Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The requirement is to upgrade AMCOM operator consoles and server currently in use and statement of work is as follows: 1.GENERAL DESCRIPTION: 1.1Back GroundMarine Corps Bases Japan, Camp Smedley D. Butler, G6, Communications and Information Division, located on Okinawa, Japan is responsible for providing responsive, reliable, high quality and cost-effective telephone directory services required by the operating forces, base establishment and other Commands within the geographic area of Camp Butler, Okinawa Japan. Camp Butler is comprised of various camps spread throughout the central and northern regions of Okinawa. 1.1.1The purpose of this Statement Of Work (SOW) is to define the requirements for the installation and testing of a new data base for Marine Corps Base Butler, Information and Technology Division (G6), Telephone Directory System, provided as part of the AMCOM telephone operator work station and server system. 1.1.2 Objective:Install AMCOM hardware/software to support 14 Operator Smart Consoles. This will include installation of a Dell Power Edge 2950 for the Smart Center and Access pack (keyboard and Mouse). New Smart consoles will replace the existing AMCOM system that is out dated and has reached the end of its life cycle. 1.2Technical Requirements. 1.2.1. AMCOM Smart Console Directory Database will provide a simple interface to view directory listing and manage directory information. The contractor shall install and test a complete telephone directory database into the existing AMCOM telephone operator system. The contractor maybe required to make modifications to the current forms and displays in order to ensure the directory information is properly displayed on the workstations. The contractor will test all system to ensure a completely functional system. 1.2.2. The contractor will need to provide upgraded software to include: Oracle 10gR2 Database license & Web license and Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4 Server License 1.2.3. Contractor may accomplish the all requirement using remote access to the AMCOM server and operator workstations. 1.3Government Furnished Items 1.3.1. The government will furnish the complete database in Excel format. The government will provide access to the system via local dial in modem connected to a local telephone number. 1.4Performance The contractor will complete all modification within 90 days after contact awarded.
