More than ninety different kits are available to separate a variety of cell types for numerous applications from a variety of sources such as whole blood, cord blood, bone marrow and more. We have tested other systems and concluded that Robosep provides the fastest, cleanest and most viable cell preparation. The requested machine will be solely dedicated to purifying primary human cells for studies of aging and immune response. The Robosep - Fully automated cell separator will provide the needed upgrade for Cellular & Molecular Biology Laboratory. The cell separation protocol must be automated, with no part of the protocol manually completed outside of the instrument. This includes all antibody additions, bead labeling and wash steps. The automated separation system must be able to do four protocols at one time, including combinations of positive and or negative selections also must not utilize columns. This instrument must have the ability to customize our cell separation protocols or either edit existing protocols. This sterile operating system cannot pass cells through any universal tubing system, and must use sterile pipette tips for the transfer of reagent and cell-handling. This instrument must have the capacity to fit in a standard laminar flow hood. Reagent used on automated cell separation system must be conjugated at time of separation that will ensure a minimum 1 year shelf life of reagents. The warranty of the system should not be limited to strictly the beads offered by the manufacturer if alternate, less expensive sources are found.MAINTENANCE: Equipment must not require weekly maintenance services, including changing of columns, tubing, buffers or wash cycles before/after operation.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
