This notice may represent the only official notice.A.1 RM-8-Bev multiplex version 3.0 with Bevaline tubing configured for open flowProduct #:342065B.1 Muxcan Activity multiplexer accessory for the MUX-3 respirometer multiplexer; includes cablesC.7 Precision Minature Respirometer chamberD.7 Small animal activity detector, reflective IRE.FC-2 Oxzilla II dual channel/differential fuel cell oxygen, analyzer; pressure-compensated, with serial and analog, outputs; analog output range is 0-5V, corresponding to 0-100, 0-25 or 19-21.5 %/kPa absolute oxygen and + /-25%, + /-2.5%, Or + / -0.25 % difference; resolution better than + /- 0.001% O2, includes external power supply.F.SS3 gas analyzer sub-sampler/pump/mass flow meterG.This is FOB DESTINATION: Quote shall be inclusive of all shipping and handling charges. The laboratory of Experimental Gerontology National Institute on Aging requires all the above mentioned equipment to be added to existing TR-2 single channel respirometry system, the upgraded addition to the TR-2 will provide the needed upgrade for the laboratory of Experimental Gerontology that provides ongoing programs in other institutes, includes a large population of rhesus macaques (~500) of various ages with well-documented rearing histories, genotypes and biobehavioral characterization. In vivo imaging acquisition and analysis techniques have advanced dramatically in recent years, and these approaches have proved particularly informative for research in nonhuman primate models, where animals availability, logistical and ethical considerations constrain experimental designs. In addition, the widespread utilization of vivo imaging in human research provides a basis for direct comparison with observations in experimental nonhuman primate models, enhancing translational potential. Unfortunately, there is currently no on-site instrumentation or support for in vivo imaging research at the NIH Animal Center. This represents a significant limitation to effectively capitalizing on the unique animal resources of the NIH, and it is a significant obstacle toward advancing translation research initiatives of the NIA and other ICs.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received on or before May 28, 2009 will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This is a solicitation for non commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 16.2, utilizing competitive procedures.
