4TH QUARTER BREAD REQUIREMENTS This is a Pre-solicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6. As supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ 31603-020-09 is issued as a Request for Quote for the provision of various fresh bread items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 722310. This is an unrestricted solicitation in accordance with FAR 19.502-2. CONTRACT CLAUSES AND SOLICITATION PROVISIONS: The full text of clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acqnet.gov/far. SUBMISSION OF QUOTATIONS: Vendors will be required to submit the following information on company letterhead or business stationary directly to the contracting officer: 1. The Request for Quote Number (RFQ 31603-020-09) 2. Schedule of Items with Pricing 3. Contractors DUNS Number and Taxpayer Identification Number 4. A complete copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, (Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (March 2005) if it differs from the company's electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov.) Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database at www.ccr.gov. In conjunction with required registration in the CCR database, prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer which will be considered for award. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or after May 19, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
