Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this notice. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking Small Businesses with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capabilities to satisfactorily collect, sort, pack, manifest, transport, treat, pickup and/or dispose of hazardous waste located at SSA Headquarters in Baltimore, MD. The contractor shall perform all operations associated with this contract in accordance with all current public and occupational health, safety and environmental protection regulations applicable to the management of surplus and waste chemicals and chemically contaminated equipment. All Federal, State and local regulations and permit conditions that govern the collection, handling, packing, transporting, treatment, and disposal of the surplus and waste chemicals covered by this contract shall apply and shall be observed. The anticipated issuance date of the RFP is June 9, 2009. SSA anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Contract. The contract will consist of a base period of twelve (12) months, with four (4) additional twelve-month option periods. The total duration of the proposed contract is sixty (60) months. This notice is a request for information from small businesses. The Government invites contractors that are designated as 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman Owned, Veteran Owned, and/or general small business with the experience and capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit a brief qualification statement. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this evaluation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number 562112 applies to this requirement and the small business size standard is $12.5 Million in average annual receipts over the preceding three fiscal years. It is requested that interested parties submit a brief qualification statement. Respondents shall include a company profile, to include number of employees, annual receipts, office location(s), DUNS number and CAGE Code, references with detail of work performed. Interested parties shall indicate if you are 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman Owned, Veteran Owned, and/or general small business. Provide proof of SBA certification of the firm’s status as a small business. The qualification statement for this sources sought notice is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company’s ability to demonstrate existing, or developed, expertise and experience in relation to this project and the areas specified herein. Submission of a qualification statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings.
