Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to extend the period of performance for the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00024-06-G-6347 with EDO Corporation, Panama City Operations, 430 West 5th Street, Suite 600 Panama City, FL 32401, through FY 2011. The original not-to- exceed amount of $35,000,000.00 will remain the same. This BOA provides the labor, material, and documentation necessary to overhaul, repair and/or modify the MK 105 Magnetic Minesweeping and MOD 4 Systems including the existing support hardware provided under BOA N00024-02-G-6326. Supplies are required to support critical overhaul and modifications to the MK 105, Organic Airborne and Surface Influence System (OASIS), and C4I-Tactical Data Processor Systems. This agreement was awarded to EDO Corporation as a sole source on FY 2006 as it is the sole designer, developer, producer, and supplier of the Magnetic Minesweeping System and related upgrade kits, C4I-TDP, and OASIS System. In order to perform the necessary work in an effective and timely manner, it is essential that the contractor performing the work have all the necessary skill set and knowledge of the MK 105, C4I-TDP and OASIS Systems. As the depot overhaul and repair activity, EDO Corporation is the only source with the in-depth technical knowledge and equipment required to satisfactorily perform the work under the orders contemplated herein. EDO Corporation is the only known source with the expertise required to disassemble the equipment, determine the nature of the problem, and accomplish appropriate overhaul and repair tasks in an effective and timely manner. No other source is acceptable.
