- 377 CONS Special Notice Twenty Federal Agencies will be briefing acquisition opportunities in Albuquerque, NM, 14&15 Jul 2009. The Air Force Research Laboratory, the 377 Air Base Wing Contracting Squadron and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce will host the 6th Annual "Building Partnerships for the 21st Century" Small Business Conference, Marketplace, Workshops & Trade Show Expo on 14 & 15 July 2009 at the Albuquerque Embassy Suites, 1000 Woodward Place NE, Albuquerque NM (505) 245-7100). This year's theme is "A Salute to Veteran Small Businesses". During this comprehensive 1-1/2 day-day event, twenty military and government agencies will describe their missions and identify contracting opportunities to the audience of current and prospective contractors. The small business directors that will be briefing: Air Force Research Laboratory, NM; Kirtland AFB, NM; Nuclear Weapons Center, NM; Space Development Test Wing, NM; Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center, nm; Defense Threat Reduction Agency, NM; Holloman AFB, NM; White Sands Missile Range, NM; Cannon AFB, NM; Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ; Sandia National Laboratory, NM; National Nuclear Security Administration, NM; Shriever AFB, CO; Buckley AFB, CO; Ft Carson, CO; Los Alamos National Laboratory, NM; Peterson AFB, CO; Army Corp of Engineers, NM; Brooks City Base, TX; and the Air Force Academy, CO. The "Trade Show" Mix & Mingle (100 exhibits) will run from 5:30-8:30 pm, 14 Jul 09. The "Conference, Marketplace, & Workshops" will be held 15 Jul beginning with a 7:15 am registration. During the "marketplace" the afternoon of 15 Jul, small businesses can meet with small business directors and other government agencies/large businesses, one-on-one, to present capability statements and to discuss acquisition opportunities. Concurrent with the "Marketplace, there will be nine workshops available, i.e., Advanced Teaming Strategies for Winning Federal Contracts; It's Not Just Marketing!; Interactive Encounter with Sandia National Laboratory; Small Business Administration - The Facts about CCR/SDB/HUBZone & 8(a); Veterans in Business...etc. The event will close with a final Networking Social, 5 - 7:00 pm, 15 July.
