- Description
- TAS::57 3404::TAS ARRA XUMU 08-1459B, Repair CRAC Units in Adm Bldg 7025, fully funded by Recovery Act. This project will repair the CRAC units in Adm Bldg 7025 in VAFB, CA. The scope of work will include: Disconnect existing power to units; Remove and dispose of (11) eleven Chilled water CRAC units of various sizes (units, 1-5, 9-14); Installation of (11) eleven Chilled water CRAC units of various sizes to match on the CRAC unit Schedule (units, 1-5, 9-14); Installation of all associated chilled water pipe connections, pipe insulation and condensate drains; Connection of controls for new units; Units with two separate disconnects to allow for dual electrical feed; Provide temp cooling during replacement of the Units; Does not include changing out valves. The units are Data-Air Chilled water crac units with: Danflow Supply & Top return air configuration 48" high return air plenum painted to match Belt drive evaporator motor w/ variable pitch sheave, Notrex electric humidifier, Electric reheats 4" 30% pleted filters, Data Processor II Control Panel, Network Communication card to interface w/ BMS, H2O Water leak detection system w/sensors, Stainless Steel Damper, 3 way modulating chilled H20 Control Valve, Thru the door disconnect switch, Water leak detection. Contractor will identify Valves (supply and Return) for CRAC units that need to be replaced (approx 32 each); Verify flow of liquid; Freeze pipes prior to the valve with Pipe freezing equipment (no damage to pipe, will not have to drain system); Replace valve with same or equal to existing; Remove freezing jacket; Check valve for leaks and for flow. Contractor will also replace floor rack for CRAC units that have corrosion.
