Description
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to remove hazardous trees on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Removal of Hazardous Trees: In the project area there are hazardous trees overhanging the Parkway that are to be removed in order to mitigate any threat to visitors and/or vehicles. The stumps of these trees are to be ground to a depth of at least four inches (4") below ground level. The objective in removing these trees is to create a clear zone in and around the Parkway motor road. Trees to be removed will be designated by the contracting officer. The contractor will be required to remove all dead and downed woody material and either haul away to an approved disposal site or chip smaller debris. The project area is located in the Natchez & Port Gibson Districts of the Natchez Trace Parkway between mile markers 1 and 145 within Adams, Jefferson, Claiborne, and Hinds Counties in Mississippi. Estimated Quantity: 244 trees and stumps with an estimated magnitude between $50,000 to $100,000. Trees that have been identified, which may be downed and removed following recent storm damage and/or prior to contract award, will be replaced with equivalent trees within the project area as a no cost change following the award. Total number of trees and unit pricing will remain constant. This procurement is a total small business set-aside being conducted as a Request for Quotations. The applicable NAICS code is 115310 with an associated size standard of $6.5 million. This notice is not the solicitation.
