- Section I - Far Clauses Plus Green Clauses Section J - Road Gate Plans Section I - FAR Clauses addendum Sections D through M. Return Sections K, L, and M with quotation. Section C - Sepcifications Section B Schedule of Items (Return this page with quotation) Section A, SF 18 - Return this page with Quotation Scope of Work: Fabricate and deliver road gates, posts and incidental parts as shown in the plans to the GMNF Mount Tabor Work Center (Mt. Tabor, VT) and Ripton Barracks (Ripton, VT). The Contractor shall be required to complete all work within 90 days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, service and supervision to complete the fabrication and delivery of the gates as described in these specifications. Materials: The following materials are specified but can be substituted for as an “or equal” upon approval by the Forest Service. Contractor shall submit manufacturer’s product sheets for “or equal” substitutions. Warranties for substituted products will be the same as what is specified. Steel Pipe: Standard weight, ASTM A53, Grade B Steel Tubing: ASTM A500, Grade B Chain:Proof coil, galvanized in accordance with AASHTO M 232 or chrome Paint:Derusto Rust Preventative Primer (833/MP-100, flat red), or equal Derusto Enamel (865/D-81, gloss brown), or equal Fabrication: Fabricate all devices to the required dimensions shown on the plans. All welds shall be 3/16” fillet or butt welds unless otherwise noted in the plans. Perform required welding in accordance with the best modern practice and the applicable requirements of AWS D1.1. Contractor’s welder shall be AWS certified. All exposed rough edges shall be ground smooth. Clean steel and paint with one coat of primer and two coats of enamel of the required type and color.
