- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Implementation RFI Market Research only, NO COST to the Government. INTRODUCTION This is a Market Research--Sources Sought synopsis solely for the Government's use as a market research tool specifically on Microsoft SharePoint data from any small business registered with the Small Business Administration and CCR. This Sources Sought is an essential step in determining market interest and feasibility. The purpose of this RFI is to discover for the Joint Staff, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Implementation solution that shall include hardware and software procurement, integration, testing, deployment, project management, and training services. The Government is attaching a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for public comment as a part of this RFI. The purpose of the draft is to afford the public an opportunity to comment on best practices. From this Market Research--Sources Sought synopsis, the Government is seeking responses from only small businesses. The Government is looking for contractors that possess demonstrable and credible experience in implementing SharePoint. The Government's intent is to obtain responses to the items listed below to assist market research. Interested offerors ( small businesses only ) shall provide the following in their response: 1. Type/Size of Small Business (Native American, 8a, women-owned, etc.). 2. Provide an estimated dollar amount for this type of work: include Customer-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) price for all material and labor. 3. If applicable, describe previous experience and past performance for Microsoft SharePoint requirements of a similar scope and magnitude and whether they were performance-based - include the contract number; Government agency name and address; contract funded amount. An announcement for proposals is not a part of this RFI and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement, and no funding is available. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. HOW TO RESPOND Interested offerors (small businesses only) may reply to this RFI by June 5, 2009 addressing the three items above and any other recommendations, comments or suggestions that may assist the Government.
