- I170009A610. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about 6/8/2009. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract includes removal of asphalt shingle roofs on two buildings and replacing them with 24 gauge 2" field seamed standing seam roofing. The work will consist of: removal of shingles, underlayment and penetrations as indicated on the drawings; patch roof deck at former penetrations. install underlayment and vented nail boards where indicated in accordance with details provided; construct two new entrance shelters at the Park Headquarters site; install approved roofing in accordance with details as shown in the drawings, and manufacturer's requirements/instructions. Work on this project must be completed by October 30, 2009. Work is located at Acadia National Park Headquarters Bar Harbor, Maine and Jordan Pond Dormitory Seal Harbor, Maine. NAICS 238160, Roofing. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. Estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Meet at Acadia National Park Headquarters on Route 233. We will also travel to Jordan Pond Dorm on the Park Loop Road, Acadia National Park, Seal Harbor, Maine. All offerors are encouraged to attend and should bring a copy of the solicitation package with them. Hard copy bid documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic bid documents will be accepted). Bids must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by 3:00 pm on July 8, 2009. A complete bid package shall include three copies of completed SF 1442, Solicitation. Offer, and Award, all with original signatures; completed Section K, Representations and Certifications, and bid bond.
