Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for Market Research purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal. The Government will not pay for any information provided in response to this RFI. Responses will be at no cost to the Government. Summary: Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is looking for capable vendors that have the capability to supply high performance telemetry recievers. The equipment needed is as follows: Receiver Minimum Requirements: Dual Channel Receiver w/independent RF tuning and Triple Demodulators (FM, PM, BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, FQPSK & SOQPSK, AND Trellis PCM/FM) supporting data rates up to 20 Mbps. A dynamic Pre-detection Diversity Combiner, a DSP Multi-mode Demodulator with programmed FIR IF and Video Filters, and a programmable Bit Synchronizer within the rack mounted chassis. Physical Characteristics: �� Fully compatible with IRIG 106 Tier-II Phase Noise specifications. ��Graphics Display �� Dual Independently Tunable Receivers with multiple first and second IF bandwidths, an internal Pre-D AM/AGC Controlled Diversity Combiner, a Wideband DSP-based Digital Multimode Demodulator, and optional Bit Sync. ��Power supply of 115/230 VAC; 50/60/400 Hz ��19" rack mountable chassis ��Rack slides shall be supplied with unit �� 25 Preprogrammed IF FIR Filers. General Requirements: ��Fully compatible with IRIG 106 Tier-II Phase Noise specifications. ��Shall include Lower L-Band 1429-1540MHz, and Dual S-Band 2185-2485MHz. ��Pre-detection Diversity Combiner �� Programmable Bit Synchronizer �� Dual Independently Tunable Receivers with multiple first and second IF bandwidths, an internal Pre-D AM/AGC Controlled Diversity Combiner, a Wideband DSP-based Digital Multimode Demodulator, and optional Bit Sync. �� RS-232C, IEEE-488.1 and Ethernet Remote Control. �� 25 Preprogrammed IF FIR Filers. �� Excellent Adjacent Channel Rejection by using multiple SAW First IF bandwidth filters along with highly selectable FIR second IF filters. �� Optimal Ratio Combiner using high speed AGC/AM driven control signals. Combiner may be operated in Optimal Select mode for frequency diversity. �� Multiple, User selected second IF FIR preprogrammed filters. Bandwidths from 50 kHz to 30 MHz are available for each channel. �� Multimode FM, PM, AM, BPSK, QPSK/OQPSK Demodulator. �� Compatible with both conventional Auto-Tracking Antenna Systems and Linear Predictor Antenna Tracking Systems (common in Phased Array Antennas). DIGITAL MULTI-MODE DEMODULATOR �� The Multi-Mode Demodulator employs the latest application specific technology in processing the 70 MHz IF signal. �� The demodulator provides (FM, PM, BPSK, QPSK,OQPSK, FQPSK, and SOQPSK) operation supporting data rates upto 20Mbps. �� Two analog video outputs are provided for monitoring both I & Q channel video signals in QPSK/OQPSK and FQPSK operation. �� Programmed FIR video filters provide maximally flat group delay filters. Video filters are provided with the -3 dB bandwidths from 150 kHz to 15 MHz. �� Video filter values are as follows: 150 kHz, 187.5 kHz, 250 kHz, 375 kHz, 500 kHz, 750 kHz, 1 MHz, 1.2 MHz, 1.5 MHz, 1.65 MHz, 2 MHz, 2.4 MHz, 2.5 MHz, 3 MHz, 3.3 MHz, 3.75 MHz, 4 MHz, 5 MHz, 6 MHz, 7 MHz, 7.5 MHz, 10 MHz and 15 MHz. �� User controllable video output levels with 63 dB levels in 1 dB steps video coupling (AC/DC) and video polarity. The North American Industry System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 334511 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Once Market Research has been completed, a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) may be placed on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It will be the responsibility of prospective offerors to check this site regularly for any postings or changes. Prospective offerors must be registered in Central Contracting Registration (CCR) and must be qualified to perform services in the correct NAICS code as aforementioned. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. All responsible businesses, including small businesses, are encouraged to respond to this RFI. Please provide answers for each of the following, utilizing the numbering scheme for each response and limiting your total response for this RFI to no more than ten (10) pages: 1.
