- Responses are due no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time June 5, 2009. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests capability statements from Service Disabled Veteran Owner businesses concerning the potential project described below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Responses are to be sent via email to calvin.j.mitchell@usace.army.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time June 5, 2008. Project Description: Work consists of site clearing, earthwork, grading and utility installation for a 25-acre parcel in Arlington National Cemetery. Archaeological data recovery and HTRW testing will be required prior to site clearing. Estimated 150,000 cubic yards of cut and 300,000 cubic yards of fill. No vertical construction or paving is included in this portion of the project. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of construction is $8-12m. This is a Design-Bid-Build project located at Arlington National Cemetery Interested SDVOB certified firms with single bonding capacity to support this project should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in renovation projects of this magnitude, which may include experience in interior work, mechanical, electrical, and general construction contracts. Capability statements should include the following information: details of similar projects, dates of construction, project references (including owner with phone number and email address), and project cost. Additionally, provide bonding for single project and aggregate. Narratives shall be no longer than ten pages. Email responses are required. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project design team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in any format, but must include the offerors name, phone number, and email address.
