- This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with 4 option years for a AC-130U 40mm Gun Circuit Card Assembly. This acquisition is for NSN: 5998-01-337-4605SO, part number: 7575405011. The function of the 40mm Gun Circuit Card Assembly is to act as the interface between the fire control system (FCS) and the weapon system. General characteristics of the item are as follows: approximate length - 15", approximate width - 9", approximate height - 3", approximate weight - 10 lbs, item material - aluminum and electronic components. This acquisition will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. It will consist of a first article requirement. First article testing will be performed by the contractor. All technical requirements for first article approval tests will be included in the RFP. The first article quantity of 1 EA will be part of the production quantity. The basic production quantity is 3 EA. The requirement also includes 4 option years each with a quantity of 1 - 2 EA. The first article unit will be shipped FOB Destination and all other assets will be shipped FOB Origin within the continental United States. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 11 June 2009. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/). The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained through a link that will be provided on the RFP posting on Federal Business Opportunities at the time the RFP is posted. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. The technical data is export controlled; therefore, only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may access the data.
