- Synopsis Solicitation Number AG-04R3-S-09-8113 Response Date: 06/26/2009 Solicitation Issue Date: 05/26/2009 NAICS: 113310 Logging, 500 employees COLLABORATIVE RESTORATION STEWARDSHIP CONTRACT MALHEUR, UMATILLA, WALLOWA WHITMAN AND OCHOCO NATIONAL FORESTS This solicitation will result in multiple-award Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) (also known as a task order contracts), performance based service contracts spanning approximately five (5) years. The Government intends to make multiple awards to both industry (businesses interested in purchasing biomass) and service contractors. Over the duration of the contract, individual task orders with actual quantities will be competed. Only vendors in the initial contract award pool will be allowed to submit a quote on the work offered, but are not required to offer on all orders. No restrictions have been set regarding the number of vendors in the award pool, however, sufficient awards will be made to provide for adequate competition of task orders. The intent of this contract is to reduce the potential of high intensity wildfire by removing and/or rearranging the existing fuel loading on selected project areas located on Malheur, Umatilla, Wallowa-Whitman and Ochoco National Forests. All biomass that is removed will be sold to industry. The resultant contracts will be firm-fixed price task order service contracts with provisions for timber removal. The solicitation will be available approximately May 26, 2009. A pre-proposal conference will be scheduled. It is anticipated this conference will be held on or around June 8, 2009 and the exact date and time will be designated in the solicitation.
