- This is a notice of intent. The National Park Service intends to negotiate a single source procurement with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, Syracuse, NY. The proposed place of performance is the Fort Stanwix National Monument, 112 East Park Street, Rome, NY. The proposed purchase order will include a base plus one option period. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 711310 and $7.0 million. The proposed period of performance is July 25, 2009(Base period) and July 24, 2010(Option period).Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to provide one concert. The duration of concert shall be approximately one hour and forty five minutes and include two forty (40) minute sets of Pops music with a twenty minute intermission. The date of the performance shall be July 25, 2009 at 08:00PM with a rain date of July 26, 2009 at 08:00PM. Music must include rousing marches, Americana and popular show tunes including as the final songs of the event the 1812 Overture with four trumpets and Stars and Stripes during which Fort Stanwix National Monument staff and volunteers will fire canons timed to the music and the Chamber of Commerce will initiate its fireworks display in time to the music as well.Symphony to supply all the music stands, chairs, podium, instruments including percussion equipment and related equipment.Symphony to supply all of the staging, canopy, lighting and sound equipment necessary to produce the concert for approximately 20,000 people on the west lawn of Fort Stanwix National Monument including a channel board accommodating 48-64 channels.Symphony will provide all stage hands to produce this concert as well as all technicians to operate lighting and sound equipment.The symphony will access the stage 30-minutes prior to concert for tuning and set-up.The symphony will consist of 63-65 musicians that are individually miked to ensure the proper emphasis of each instrument.The symphony is staffed by full-time musicians with the highest professional level of musicians on their roster.All equipment and staging shall meet OSHA standards for safety and operations.
