Description
RECOVERY - IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND RE-INVESTMENT ACT OF 2009, Pub. L. 111-5, THE GOVERNMENT POSTS THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE AN 8(a) SOLE SOURCE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL TO MITCHELL INDUSTRIAL CONTRATORS INC., 3332 HIGHWAY 20, DECATUR, AL 35601. THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: Project shall include the furnishing of all materials, labor, supplies, and equipment necessary for the demolition and replacement of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system at Millers Ferry Powerhouse, Camden, Alabama. The type of HVAC system that will be renovated is a Chilled Water Cooling System. The work will consist of replacing the existing chilled water primary and secondary piping system, accessories, and pumps. The duct heaters and HVAC control system will be removed and replaced. Interior of all powerhouse ducts, fans, fire dampers, and duct accessories will be cleaned. Testing and balancing of the HVAC system will be performed on the existing and new HVAC equipment after all cleaning has been performed and all new equipment is in place and operational. Contractor shall provide all necessary electrical, piping, valves, ductwork, insulation, controls, diffusers, grilles, fittings, dampers, equipment, etc. as required to install and support a fully functional HVAC system. Pursuant to section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637 (a)), and in accordance with 13 CFR 124.1-1(c) and FAR 19.8. The Small Business Administration has accepted this requirement on behalf of MITCHELL INDUSTRIAL CONTRATORS INC.,.
