Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Woods Hole, MA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dr. Alberto Lopez as a consultant on a scientific study/analysis using GPS and seismic data to support tsunami hazards project in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, the results will be summarized in the form of a scientific manuscript delived to Woods Hole, MA by February 2010. Dr Alberto Lopez is the only known source for this requirement because of his previous experience in support of tsunami projects in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and his through knowledge in the fields seismology, geodesy, plate tectonics and intimate knowledge of Caribbean Geology and Geophysics which are essential for this study. There are no option periods THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD THIS REQUIREMENT NONCOMPETITIVELY IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). NAICS Code is 541720 The anticipated award date of the contract is 06/08/2009. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
