- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THE CONTRACTORS UNDER EXISTING ARCHITECT/ENGINEERING IDIQ CONTRACT NOS. 08CA10677C and 08CA10677D. The Request for Task Order Proposal package will be sent to the designated IDIQ contractors and will be competed using FAR 36.6 procedures. This notice is not a pre-solicitation notice for offers. The purpose of this Task Order is the development and evaluation of alternatives to provide improvements to anadromous fish habitat and stream health in the Entiat River between river miles 23.1 and 21.0. This reach of the Entiat River has been evaluated through a science-based approach developed by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) Pacific Northwest Region, which has resulted in a "reach assessment," identified as the "Preston Reach." This task order will result in an Alternatives Evaluation Report (AER) for projects within the Preston Reach of the Entiat River. The work will include site investigation, data collection, development of appraisal-level options, presentation of technical results, refinement of any preferred alternatives, and an AER. A subsequent design task order will be requested at the end of this task order for development of final designs and specifications for construction of a selected alternative. Following that another phase is possible which would include design support during construction and construction observation. The project is located in the Entiat Sub-basin on the Entiat River approximately 22 river miles upstream of the confluence with the Columbia River.
