Description
THE TECHNICAL POC FOR THIS MARKET SURVEY IS Naomi Mincie AT naomi.mincie@us.army.mil OR 732-532-2266 DESC The US ARMY CECOM LCMC intends to acquire or equivalent to commercial AN-19/2 (AN/PSS-12) Mine Detector System. The Hand-Held Electronic Mine Detector System shall be a detection system specially designed to detect and localize mines and unexploded ordinance (UXO)-like bombs or other explosives with minimal metal content in ground conditions that may be heavy mineralized, magnetic or volcanic and under salt water or fresh water. The weight of the telescopic pole and of the search head shall be no greater than 3.75 lb (1.7 Kg). These units shall be manufactured and developed by a company certified in ISO-9001:2000. The system will be designed to withstand the rigorous use by military operators in severe soil and weather conditions as well as specified water depth in daily use over long periods, as set forth in the attached specifications. The mine detector should be able to pass the testing as set forth in the attached specifications.
