- Description
- The U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Quito, Ecuador is seeking qualified offerors for preventative and corrective maintenance at several Ecuadorian anti-narcotics police units located throughout Ecuador. The routine preventive maintenance will be performed in accordance with the technical specifications and manufacturer’s recommended maintenance for the equipment and other installations requiring maintenance. The corrective maintenance will include minor repairs of equipment and other installations as necessary. For both the preventative and corrective maintenance, the contractor will be responsible for providing personnel with the appropriate skills for the particular maintenance required. Materials for the maintenance will be provided by the U.S. Embassy and/or the National Police of Ecuador. The principal areas requiring maintenance include plumbing installations, including control of cisterns and pumping systems; septic tanks; electrical installations; brickwork for buildings and sidewalks; basic welding to repair metallic items; carpentry; mechanical maintenance of generators, air conditioning equipment, mechanical ventilation, and mechanical doors; and painting. The contractor will be required to provide the necessary vehicle(s), including any required vehicle insurance, for the transportation of its personnel to the sites requiring maintenance. The solicitation is planned for release on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) on or about June 10, 2009, with award of a contract anticipated in the June/July 2009 timeframe. The resulting contract type will be firm fixed-price, and will include a Base Year with Four Option Years. The estimated annual volume of the required maintenance work is between U.S. $80,000.00 and $115,000.00. The solicitation will be unrestricted to allow U.S. and non U.S. firms to participate in the selection process. Obtaining the solicitation: The solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps - website: http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation, as well as all other associated documents for this project, will not be issued on CD unless there are technical difficulties that cannot be promptly corrected on the FedBizOpps website. All notifications of changes to this solicitation will be made through the Internet only. It is the responsibility of prospective offerors to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download via the FedBizOpps website on or about June 10, 2009. NO solicitation documents will be mailed, faxed or emailed to prospective offerors. Proposals will be accepted from both U.S. and non U.S. firms; all correspondence will be written in English.
