- Letter of Solicitation Title: PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST CAMPGROUND PROSPECTUS Agency: Department of Agriculture Office: Forest Service Location: R-5 Plumas National Forest, Mt. Hough Ranger District The Plumas National Forest has issued a prospectus for campground concession operations on the Mt. Hough Ranger District in Quincy, California. The solicitation is available for review and can be downloaded on the Plumas National Forest website at http://www/fs.fed.us/pnf. The prospectus includes 17 recreation fee sites in the following three areas: Bucks Lake Recreation Area, Antelope Lake Recreation Area, and Feather River Canyon Campgrounds. A ten year permit to provide high-quality public service in the operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities will be issued for early 2010. Prospective applicants must bid on all three areas included in the prospectus. More detailed information on this business opportunity and application requirements can be found in the prospectus found on the Plumas National Forest website. Completed applications must be submitted by July 27, 2009 to Alice Carlton, Forest Supervisor (Attention: Susan Barron), Plumas National Forest, P.O. Box 11500, Quincy, CA 95971. Applicants must submit a processing fee of $100 to cover the cost of the prospectus and review of the application (applications are subject to cost recovery pursuant to 36 CFR 251.58(c)(1)(ii) and (c)(3)(iii)). Payments for this application must be paid in the form of a bank draft, money order, or cashier’s check payable to the USDA-Forest Service. Applicants must also submit 3 copies of their application package and supporting documents in hard copy format. Please submit requests for alternative prospectus formats (hard copy or CD-ROM) and any questions to Erika Brenzovich, Assistant Resource Officer, by e-mail at ebrenzovich@fs.fed.us or by phone at (530) 283-7622. Prospective applicants should contact Ms. Brenzovich if they are interested in a guided tour of the recreation sites included in the prospectus.
