Description
RECOVERY -- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO THE CONTRACTOR UNDER THE ARCHITECT-ENGINEER (A-E) BASE CONTRACT FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE HAZARDOUS, TOXIC, AND RADIOACTIVE WAST (HTRW)/ ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION OF THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE) NORTHWESTERN DIVISION (CENWD). TASK ORDER TO EXISTING CONTRACT - The Kansas City District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a task order using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds on contract W912DQ-08-D-0018. This project was originally competed under solicitation number W912DQ-08-R-0048 and awarded to CDM Federal Programs Corporation (CAGE: 0T3N7). This task order award is in the amount of $100,000.00. Procurement of a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee Task Order was selected as the best method of having significant flexibility for responding to conditions that are unexpected, such as encountering contaminants or concentrations of contaminants that would result in changes to the planned field program, unknown buried materials, and unknown volumes of investigation derived waste. Additionally, the USACE project team is capable and prepared to provide monitoring of contractor performance to mitigate risks and to ensure that all alternatives have been considered. The project team is also able and has experience to monitor the task order to ensure that performance, cost and schedule goals are being met, including but not limited to: implementing quality assurance procedures established for the contract, and completing timely contractor performance evaluations that accurately reflect the contractors actual performance.
