Description
Market Survey Project Manager Robotics Systems Joint Project Office 1. Robotics Systems. The Project Manager, Robotics Systems Joint Project Office (RS JPO) located at the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) in Warren, Michigan is seeking to identify sources capable of providing an explosive detection device (EDD) capability that can be either handheld or integrated on a UGV. The EDD will provide the Soldier with the opportunity to interdict explosive devices and those who manufacture these devices by detecting explosive vapors and residues. During full spectrum operations the EDD will screen persons, packages and cargo, other equipment, vehicles and buildings and will report vapor detections in real time with audio and visual feedback to the operator. The EDD can be integrated onto a UGV to provide additional standoff and Soldier safety when IEDs and other explosive threats are suspected. 2. Market Survey Request. This market survey seeks to determine industry capability to provide an explosive detection device, including any sustainment and engineering support. If interested, furnish your detailed response and technical information questionnaire. Additionally, provide any supplemental information or commercial literature describing the human factors, engineering, safety, supportability, quality, cost, product availability or other information not specifically requested that you feel would be informative.
